When to visit Rio de Janeiro
Rio is a year-round destination, but two dates drive the highest demand and prices: Carnival (a movable date, usually February or March) and New Year's Eve in Copacabana, just 500 m from the hotel. Outside those dates, December to March is the hottest and rainiest season; June to August is the coolest and driest.
